REVIEW: Don’t by Connor Fyfe

Updated: Mar 19, 2020

13-year-old Singer-songwriter, Connor Fyfe released his debut album, ‘Don’t’ on the back of his successful two singles. The young musician has been doing great things around the music scene recently including supporting popular band, The Snuts twice.

The album has eight smooth tracks that all link well into each other due to its raw sound. For someone so young, his voice is remarkably strong.

The album has two already released tracks with them being Connors debut two singles. These were, ‘Don’t’ and ‘Leaving’. These two tunes were received very well by the growing support for the West-Lothian artist. The singles have seen over 9000 streams on Spotify.

The tunes to look out for on the album are definitely, ‘Sorry’, ‘Struck’ and ‘War’. ‘Struck’ has got a similar Gerry Cinnamon sound with the added harmonica. Connor has admitted before the Castlemilk singer is a hero of his and it’s no surprise you can hear his influence through some of the songs on the album. ‘Sorry’ and ‘War’ take a more slow approach and really show the artists voice off. These are the ones you really realise the talent Connor has.

From his album launch at Room 2 to supporting The Snuts on their album launch at the King Tuts. Connor Fyfe is definitely one for the future, and to have an album of this quality already at this stage is an unbelievable achievement.
