The Snuts are heading towards a top 10 in the charts with their new EP, ‘Mixtapes’. The EP includes five tracks which have all went down well with their now massive fan-base.
The band have also made a deal with their supporters which will see them announce the long over due gig at Glasgow famous Barrowlands if the EP stays in the charts. To keep the EP in the charts all you you need to do is buy it via hard copy or on Apple Music.
‘Mixtapes’ has five tracks including two which hadn’t been released on any streaming platform since the EP was released. Already released tracks included Fatboy Slim, Coffee & Cigarettes and All Your Friends.
All Your Friends was released back in May and has cemented itself as the set-list opener for most Snuts gigs. The explosive single fits right into place with the new EP due to its similar sounding songs.
Fatboy Slim and Coffee & Cigarettes were released quite recently just in time to get you excited and in tune for the EP. Fatboy Slim is one you may have heard live but it’s recorded version is even better. It’s a song that definitely shows The Snuts musical direction. However, Coffee & Cigarettes was only released a few days shy of the EP launch at King Tuts. The song takes on a different vibe to the usual Snuts number, but again shows the quality and how versatile the band are.
The last two tunes on ‘Mixtapes’ were two songs we’ve also heard live but not the studio versions. ‘Boardwalk’ is a slow and slightly sad song which sets a great balance amongst the EP. However, right after that is a quick and massive tune. ‘Don’t forget it(Punk)’ is one that is lyrically noticed due to its strong stance on the band being, ‘The Kings of this spot’. From track to track The Snuts make sure you’re dancing.
Keeping the band in the charts would not only promise an amazing gig at the Barrowlands, but it would be an unbelievable achievement for the ever-growing Scottish Music Scene. Get buying and support our countries incredible talent that it offers.
