REVIEW: Hideaway by Beta Waves

Growing Dundee band, Beta Waves are to release a brand new single, ‘Hideaway’ tomorrow which will have you jamming around the house during this isolation period.
Beta Waves have built a reputation for being different and have definitely escaped the indie label that most new Scottish bands are given. ‘Hideaway’ certainly backs that statement. The song takes on an almost guitar and electronic hybrid sound which again makes them stand out from other acts amongst the Music scene.
The tune is definitely one for the summer, if we get one that is. When listening to this new Beta Waves number, you’ll instantly want to see it live. The song gives off an excellent dance vibe which is something most music lovers will welcome. Providing such a bright and vibrant sound, the tune will cheer you up during the strange time we’re living in.
The duo had planned to play Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on the 30th which would have been an ideal to show the single off live. But understandably, it can’t go ahead with all that’s going on. However, I’m sure we’ll get to hear the tune live in good time.
