On the back of a superb show in Paisley, The Snuts treated us with a new single, and one that gives off that rustic Snuts feeling. ‘Juan Belmonte’ is an incredible track which will have you well and truly believing the hype around these boys.
The tune kicks off with a funky Rock ‘n’ Roll vibe which is then met with the brilliant voice of lead singer, Jack Cochrane. However, what is really noticed is the guitar work which is always going to be brilliant if it’s a Snuts track. Each member of the band pull their weight and the confidence of The Snuts is exactly what the public want to see. ‘Juan Belmonte’ is a prime example of this.
Juan Belmonte was a Spanish bullfighter during the 60’s and was recognised as one of the greatest due to his unique style. He was underrated at first, but as time went on people seen his great style and noticed it was something they had never seen, Much like The Snuts. Once underrated, now one of the most recognised bands in Scotland and it doesn’t look to be stopping anytime soon.
The repetitive lyrics of “You’ve been going well”, is one that will have your foot-stomping and dancing to the amazing lyrics and backing track.
The Snuts are heading towards the end of their fantastic UK tour with only Manchester, London, Belfast, Dublin and Exeter to play. However, with a tour coming to the end the music doesn’t stop. The West-Lothian boys are off to tour with their mate, Lewis Capaldi. They play three sold out gigs in November such as Dublin, Belfast and Manchester.
The Snuts continue to progress and surprise us with tune after tune, however, should we be surprised? Every song the group seem to release is better than the last and ‘Juan Belmonte’ is definitely same case.
If you’re not already believing the hype, listen to ‘Juan Belmonte’ and I’m sure you’ll be right behind The Snuts.
