Rockstar, Jake Bugg was back in Glasgow to play in-front of a sold-out crowd at the iconic Barrowlands. The artist plays Glasgow as his third venue of his five date 2019 tour. Jake played a great mixture of new material along with his toe tapping classics.
As his song, ‘Be Someone’ that features top DJ’s Camelphat played, the crowd went wild. When the base dropped the place was bouncing, and then out came Jake Bugg. He kicked the show off with ‘Trouble town’ which featured on his first album, ‘Jake Bugg’. This again got the crowd jumping.
The singer-songwriter reached out to his fans to receive suggestions for his set-list. I’m sure the crowd got exactly what they wanted. Jake Bugg played songs such as, 'Slide', 'Me and you', 'Lightning Bolt', 'Seen it all', 'Song about love' and of course 'Two Fingers'.
A highlight of the night was seeing Jake Bugg play popular tune, 'Broken'. It wasn’t one the crowd could go crazy at, but one they could sing along to and create a special moment. That’s exactly how 'Broken' was.
The last time he played in Glasgow was two years ago for his solo acoustic tour. However, The Barrowlands was a different game. There wasn’t much standing about and having a calmed listen to the tunes. It was full on jumping and letting the artist know fine well that you were there.
The Nottingham singer stated his love for Glasgow. He said: “Just want to say thank you cause every time I come up here it’s absolutely amazing.”
Jake Bugg made the Barrowlands special again with a packed-out gig with a loyal fan-base. The artist hopes to make a sooner rather than later return to Glasgow in 2020. However, the support can look back on this gig with a smile until then.
