REVIEW: The Snuts Acoustic Session at King Tuts

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

The Snuts kicked off their EP launch with a series of Acoustic and signing sessions around the UK. King Tuts was first in line for an hour set of the infamous Snuts playing new tunes and of course their own classics.

The West-Lothian boys admitted that it was their first time doing a full acoustic session in-front of a crowd but they definitely didn’t disappoint. They started the set-list off with a new one from their new EP ‘Mixtapes’. ‘Fatboy Slim’ was exactly what the crowd wanted to hear as it was simply quite stunning. Now having an acoustic version to compare with the normal fast up-beat tune was massively appreciated by the crowd.

The Set-list consisted of new songs such as ‘Fatboy Slim’, ‘Boardwalk’, ‘All Your Friends’ and ‘Coffee & Cigarettes’, along with their older tunes, ‘Glasgow’ and ‘What’s going on’. The crowd were in full voice and sang every single word to every single song.

Not only the music was class, but afterwards you had a chance to buy and get merchandise signed. This offered you a chance to connect and have a casual chat with the band with also giving them a helping hand if buying anything. This is something that most of the public would like to see more of from different bands. On and off stage it was clear to see how class The Snuts were and how much they appreciated the support.

The overall King Tuts experience is always a class one, but the acoustic experience was certainly different. What was so refreshing to see was how the band interacted with their fans and just took part in any conversation thrown their way. That is what made it real and that bit more special.

Real band, real people.
