The Snuts took on Paisley at the Spree Festival which was one to remember. The West-Lothian band played in-front of a crowd of 1000 and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The show was during their UK Tour which still includes iconic places such as Manchester, London, Belfast and Exeter.
They kicked off the gig with their new trademark show opener, ‘All Your Friends’ which seen the crowd go crazy. The song is becoming quite the show starter for the group and one that set the tone for the rest of the night.
The Snuts have absolutely smashed their UK tour so far and paisley wasn’t any different. The Set-list included classics such as ‘Glasgow’, ‘Sing for your supper’ and more. However, the band also played an acoustic version of their popular tune, ‘Mixer’ that had the crowd singing along wonderfully.
Something the band has introduced on this tour is quite a few covers. This has been brilliant to hear as the West-Lothian group are not known for playing many covers at their gigs. So far, they’ve played covers of Arctic Monkeys in Sheffield, The View in Dundee and they just had to include a cover of a paisley giant at the Spree Festival. Lead singer, Jack Cochrane sang a beautiful cover of ‘These Streets’ by Paolo Nutini. This had the crowd singing their heart out. What a great song to have on a fantastic set-list and one that really did make the night.
The band really did light up the festival and this group of boys continue to prove people wrong. The group also must be closing in on their first album now having a great number of tracks.
The group also invited up a member of the crowd on stage to sing, ‘Sing for your supper’ which was a very touching moment for the festival.
The Snuts really did make some noise at The Spree Festival and certainly showed their worth. A magnificent gig for magnificent festival.
